Rich VS Poor (A Thought Provoking Story)

A poor man nearly starve to death because he hasn't eaten anything for a couple of day. The idea of ending his life came across his mind.

And then miracle happen, God appear in-front of him and he start burst into tears. He complain to God that life is hard, he worked very hard each day but he could not earn more money,

he said:“this society is not fair, why the rich enjoy luxurious life without hard work, and the poor work hard and suffer every day yet we make little to no money ? “

God smile and replied:” If this is the case,How do you think that it is fair?”

The poor quickly says:” Bring the rich down to as poor as I am, same living condition, same circumstances. If rich people are still rich by then , I will complain no more.”

God nodded” Okay! Deal! “

God grant his wish by bringing a rich man down and made him as poor as the poor man.
God gave each of them a mountain of coal, they are able to make a living by selling the coal. God say they need to dig out all the coal within a month.

And so the battle between the rich and poor began.

Because the poor was trained to do hard work, digging coal is like a piece of cake for him, very soon he dug up many coal, sold to the market, he trade all his cash into groceries, take it home to feed his lovely wife and children with joy.

The Rich? Not so lucky… He had never done any hard work before in his entire life.. So it was a huge challenge for him. He only manage to dig up enough coal to sell into market by evening. With the limited money he earn with sweat and labor, he only bought a few buns, and he keep the rest of the money.

The next morning the poor get up and begin his work , as he look around he couldn't see the rich. The poor think that maybe the rich couldn't take the hard work and escaped.. He literally can't hold his joy and burst into laughter. But then he heard footstep. As he turn to his back he saw the rich come back with two men, both were strong and muscular, without further ADO both man began to dig coal for the rich , and the rich monitor and supervise the coal digging process.

With the help of 2 man, the rich had dig out 3x more coal than the poor did at the end of the day. Now he has more money in hand, he employ a few more man to dig more coal. He paid all the worker with the coal he sold, after minus the worker salary the rich still earn several times more money than the poor.

A month later, the poor only manage to dug out one tiny part of the mountains of coal. Everyday the poor used his hard earned money to buy good food, groceries and so on.. He left with little to no money. In a contrary the rich have already complete his mission, his workers had dig out the coal mountain, and he made a lot of money by doing so. he used the money he earn to invest and built new businesses , once more he became the rich man he used to be.

After this incident , the poor man had learn a valuable lesson. He stop complaining and applied what he learn into his daily life, and he too become a rich man.

It's a persons mindset that determine his destiny. Not circumstances , and not even situation.

After reading this story, if you're not rich. It means that you need to work on your mindset. As shown from the story above. Both the poor and the rich shares the same mission. Given the same situation, same time frame, the difference between the two is how they make use of their time, money and resources.

What makes a person poor is not how much money he had in his bank account. But how he apply knowledge he had in his brain. There's a Chinese saying that goes like this: “A person who's a empty-headed must have empty pockets too.” I hope you enjoyed this story.
